***In September 2009, PSU and Tongji faculty together conducted a full day workshop on sustainability and environmental issues at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. PSU faculty covered following topics: sustainable urban planning (Dr. Connie Ozawa), sustainable transportation planning (Dr. Jennifer Dill), urban environmental planning (Dr. Vivek Shandas), and growth management and institutional structures (Dehui Wei).

***In June 2008, PSU faculty conducted a full day workshop for planning staff at the China Academy of Urban Design and Planning in Beijing, China. Topics covered included regional planning (Dr. Ethan Seltzer), sustainable transportation planning (Dr. Jennifer Dill), housing affordability (Dr. Karen Gibson), and public participation (Dr. Connie Ozawa).

***In conjunction with this meeting, the PSU faculty attended the 3rd International Conference on China's Urban Development and Planning and the 2nd International Association for China Planning (IACP) Conference, and heard CAUDP scholars and others present on current conditions in China.
